INFORMATION, ADVICE AND ADVOCACY SERVICES
We offer an Information, Advice and Advocacy service to the Kaikoura Community. We provide relevant information on a wide range of topics and sound, impartial advice to people who need it.
Through Heartland Services we bring Government Departments, face to face with locals in our rurally isolated community, alternatively, we offer support and the technology to source information and help to access and register for on-line services. We can provide information on a wide range of Central and Local Government agencies as well as local organisations and services.
This is proving to be an important part of our service to our whanau and community.
We also offer an Advocacy Service for people who are having difficulties dealing with government departments, organizations and agencies. Often people find it challenging when in certain situations, understanding their rights and knowing which questions to ask. We can put you in touch with the right people to resolve issues and disputes, and get the job done.
Support is available to engage with any of these services, we can help to identify the best service required, and we will also advocate for you if required.
We have a desk, computer, scanner and printer available for community use.
